Word files from TR kill MSWORD!

Whenever I try to open Word Documents downloaded from TR, MSWORD dies!
This is true whether I extract the files from the zip archive first or not.
I’m running WinXP, with ALL patches and updates, and Word 2002 with SP3.
Anyone know what’s up?
