Word Macro's only work for administrator

By mark ·
Word 2000 macro's (day/date fields, table of contents, etc) only work for user admin. The "normal" user haw full admin rights. Document with a table of contents displays fine if logged in as admin. Log in a 'user' and it only displays the TOC macro. I replaced Suspect an unregistered dll but can't figure out how to identify the culprit.

Sounds more like the User Profile than anything else. If you can access the proper tables and contents as Admin there has to be something in the User Account preventing this from happening.

Try creating another account with the same privileges and see if the problem persists.

1. Log in as admin.
2. Right click My Computer > Properties > Advanced >
User Profiles > Settings.
3. Copy the local administrator profile to the local default profile, overwriting it. In the 'permitted to use' section, choose Everyone.
4. Any new user that will log into that PC will get all the settings and macros that administrator has.

I had the same issue with Lotus Smartsuite templates.
