On a Windows NT 4.0 workstation, I continue to have this same problem with this one user. First, I have replaced his PC 3 times in the last year because I think his work area is doomed. We go and attempt to open a word doc and he hour glasses for 2-3 mins. Then when the doc opens and you try to print it, another hour glass session with no printout as the result. At this point, I have uninstalled Office 97, cleaned the reg, ran the eraser 97 utility to get rid of any tracks leftover from Office 97, reinstalled 97, and still the same problem results. Is this an NT reg problem or the kernel or what? I pick on other docs and some open up quickly, but others struggle to open and it takes a while after you click print for the print box to appear. Just hour glasses.
