Word perfect 8 conversion

I need to convert a Word Perfect 8.0 file into Word 2000. Can this be done in Word 2000 or is there another way we can do this? Note: We received a Word perfect 8 file and we do not own wordperfect 8.0. So we will need to convert it. Would appreciate any suggestions.
