Word printing and preview problem

By TABComputers2002 ·
I have a user who is having a problem previewing and printing in Word(2000). The document is cutting off the left 2 inches of the page. When I go into page setup, and make my magins 1 inch, I get an error about that being too far into an unprintable area. I then get a message that says to fix or ignore the problem. If I click fix, the left margin changes to 2.67.

We're stumped. I've reinstalled the printer, and it worked fine the first time, but after you previewed the doc a second time, it started right back up. Any ideas? We'd like to avoid a re-install of office if possible.

The user is on a Novell network, and printing to an HP4050ln printer across the network.

Thanks in advance
Tim

Running all the updates didn't help.

Bfilm,

I just ran the last of the updates, and it seems to be working. But I told the user that 3 times already. I'll let you know if that worked. Thanks

** I was incorrect on the version, it's XP not Word 2000 **
