Word XP default printer

I have three different printers connected to my computer for different purposes. Whenever, I change the printer setting in MS Word XP from the default to another one, MS Word remembers the last printer from then on until I reboot. It does not revert back to the default printer. I don’t this problem with Excel or PowerPoint part of Office XP. Any suggestions? Thanks.
