Word XP prints dingbat characters in the footer when a file is not saved, or when multiple pages are printed. If a file is printed one page at a time, it appears (correctly) just as it does on the monitor, without the extra dingbats. All the other programs print correctly. The PC does not appear to have any other problems. The PC is running NAV 2001 with updates. What is this? The fix? Regards, Chris

Here are two pieces from the Microsoft Knowledge Base you might want to look at-- Q2**336 and Q2**344, both of which discuss specific Word 2002 printing problems and their solutions, including re-building the normal.dot template. Find them at: http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/c.asp
Still have not found the problem. This problem is more difficult, than I first thought. Current plan is to work on it for a week, then repost. (Probably with a huge point value, since I will be really frustrated by then.) Thanks again, Regards, Chris
: The Template was reinitiated, and the driver was updated, with no cure for the problem. (Tried KB suggestions, no fix.) It appears, there may be a hidden VB problem (bug), unknown virus, or an undocumented font problem that is causing this.Investigating all three. Thanks , Chris
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
