Word2k web toolbar&TOC

by blackcurrant . Updated 24 years, 6 months ago

Good day

Web Toolbar:
I am in the process of creating a document using Word 2000 that uses hyperlinks to go to locations within that document. When I click on a hyperlink the web toolbar appears. I would like to know if it is possible to stop the web toolbar from displaying in the first instance.

Table of Contents:
I use a standard document template to create reports. The document contains 13 headings (with sub-headings), and the entire file is written in normal text – no styles areused because the entire text uses a standard font and font size. I mark the TOC entries by highlighting them and then pressing ALT+SHFT+O to bring up the TOC dialog box.

Now, if I change the name of a heading it is not automatically updated in the field (as it is in WordPerfect), so that when I update the entire field in a TOC, the old entries remain, and I have to either edit the field concerned or redefine the entry. Does anyone know how I can tell Word to update the field automatically?

Thank you
