wordperfect 8

I am having trouble upgrading to windows2000 from 98. I am doing an upgrade from w98 to w2k. The computer telss me that wordperfect 8 is fully incompatable with windows2000. I wish to keep WP8 if possible. How can I do this? I know that I cannot do a clean install, for the disk will not install from a clean install.
