OK, I have researched this one on the net and it seems to be a somewhat common problem, but I have yet to find a suggested answer that worked… So I will throw it out here.
I have a client that has Wordperfect 11 and suddenly, it now takes about 45 seconds to “start” printing. All other printing on this computer is working normal and correct.
It makes no difference which brand or type of printer or if it is network based or local.
Things I have tried:
re-install of Wordperfect
raise the priority of the WP print service
increase the priority of background servcies
ensured there are no other processes running other than bare minimum.
As I mentioned earlier, based on google search, this seams to be something of a common problem, Just hoping someone out there has seen this and has a specific reason / solution for it.
