Workgroup Information File

By Maity-boy ·
Is it possible to get into an MS Access database that has lost its associated system.mda(w) file without paying for a crack program?

Have you tried scandisk and find the FILE*.CHK that matches the database size? Then rename it to *.MDB(A/W), access will then open it and you have your file back.

it is the workgroup file that is missing , not the database so this wont work.

Have U tried using the Wrkgadm utility? U will find this in the Office folder at
..\Microsoft Office\Office\1033 or whatever.
Search for 'Wrkgadm.exe'. I dont know if you can get into an MS Access db without System.mdw, but you sure can create one with this utility (or even join an existing one).
Try it and let me know if it works. ;-)
