Peer to Peer with 100 Workstations?? WOW! Can't they afford a domain server?

OK, I wouldn't mind betting it is that the Windows 98 machines are unable to access the XP machines, even though you are loggin on correctly, and up until recently, you have been able to access them?

And the 98 machines are able to see the 2000 machines, and the 2000 machines can see the XP machines?

If not, read no further.

This is an authentication problem between XP and Win98

What you can try - this has worked for numerous people, including me - is to go to ALL of the offending Windows XP machines, and re-enter the passwords on those machines. Go in to change the password of each user on each machine (bet you wish you had a domain server now!!) and change the password to exactly what it was before. This resets the authentication and will probably allow the Win98 machines to see the XP machines.

Good luck.

Alan
