Workgroup setup issues

by tyrobins1 . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

Hi. I’m trying to setup a new network for a client with 6 computers. All are running Windows XP Pro. I’ve done the exact same thing on all of the computers. I have them all in the same workgroup, they all have file and print sharing turned on, I’ve went through the network setup wizard as well as the wireless network setup wizard, they all have client for microsoft networks installed, all have the administrator account logged in and still cannot communicate with each other.

They all keep getting the message: “(workgroup name) is not accessible. You may not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. This list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available. I’m the Administrator, and I’ve asked myself everything I can think of. I dont know what else to do. I have my office computer at home setup the same way and it worked with no problem. Someone please help me.
