I currently have DHCP running on a Windows 2003 server and I am running out of IP addresses so I created a superscope, but when I try to reach anything on the original scope from the secondary I can’t. I am also running DNS server on the same server. I have added the second scope to the DNS (I think I did it correctly, but this was my first attempt). Could someone help with to understand how to do this correctly.
By the way I know a simpler plan would have been to implement a larger scope (I don’t remember what it is called, but this is a hospital environment and there are lots of pieces of equipment that have static ips that only “authorized” techs can access, so it would be time consuming, costly, and almost impossible to coordinate.
Thanks in advance for your help!
