workstation Nic card errors

How do i manually change the IRQ settings for a nic(3com 3c905c) in regedt32 on a machine running NT Workstation 4.0. and also manually remove a nic card from the registry in NT Workstation?????

I don't think you can change the IRQ settings within the registry. If you can I don't think you would want to. It can cause a BSOD or the NTDETECT will reset it to the correct values. There are utilities I believe you can download from 3com or Intelto change the IRQ that your card is using.
To remove the card you should do it the normal way: remove the adapter from Control Panel:Network:adapters and if that doesn't work then open Regedit and do a search using the NIC. BUT BE CAREFUL b/c any wrong move here can lead to a BSOD

all network cards go to Hkey_local_machine\system\currentControlSet\Service\(networkcard like 3com)Delete the key for the network card.

Go into your BIOS and find the PnP settings. Most newer systems will allow you to configure each PCI slot to use a dedicated IRQ. Which IRQ are you using? What system are you on? And why do you need to change it?
