Workstations report false size of hard drives

by witqueen . Updated 17 years, 1 month ago

I have 4 users whose profiles are reflecting the wrong storage size of the shared drive on the company network and their local drive.

I’ve run spyware tools, registry cleaners, etc and trend micro runs on my network.

If I log in as administrator or even my local profile on these stations, the proper information is displayed. If I login using their profile on any workstation I get the false disk size.

This problem is preventing the users from saving data to the shared drive. They all use Win XP SP3, but if I log on at another work station that is not WXPSP3 I have the same problem. So my thoughts are the user’s profiles are corrupted somehow.

I’ve tried changing them to admins as well, no luck. I also have a Winxp pro sp3 as my workstation and neither one of my profiles local or admin has this problem.

My one user is now showing 5 mb on her C drive..Monday it showed 287 Mb..

Anyone run into this and have a fix?
