world time/clock reference

By j_hannytyo ·
hi all,

I'm working on a Data Center Operation Procedures for my client, one of local banks in Indonesia.

One of the procedures, is to determine an exact reference about clock/time information, so the whole systems (including a mainframe, several iSeries and many xSeries) have the same clock/time information with the rest of the world.

I have come to several sites, but don't know for sure whether to use their services or not.

Thanks,
JHP

http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/cgi-bin/timer.pl should be reliable, as the U.S. Navy uses it.

There is a program nistime-32bit.exe.

It is a small program that will sync your computers clock on a regular time that you set. It syncs to atomic clocks that are around the US. You decide on who.

Good Luck Lee

Is a source for AS/400 (iSeries) TIME Syncro behind a firewall using FTP.
