By dwaynesn1 ·
Recently I was accused of being on MSN messenger up to 5x/day chatting and camming - when in fact this information is not true. However the log file could be decrypted in a way by reading the log files at face value that infact there are some days im on it all day long -when infact im not!!! Could someone explain to my accuser what these log files represent - esspecialy this thread: Zone_Voice CUIManager::InitializeVoiceVideo - ActivityManager Successfully Initialized

Automatic login?

Windows messenger/MSN messenger etc. tend to start and logon automatically when you open outlook express/windows mail.

Then it may quietly sit there doing nothing, except keeping in touch with the servers.

It took some rounds to get rid of. Some versions are a part of the OS and need to be unticked in the OS feature list, others should be uninstalled the normal way.

Can't say anything about logs. Anyone else?

You can look for yourself. Or turn it on so you can compare with the information the accuser is using. If on, you will have the actual text of any message (or lack thereof) to display.

The log entry you mention looks like it is simply stating that those bits of the application (video and voice support) have started successfully. I don't see how they necessarily indicate actual use of the application.
