Would you answer a question for 1 point?

by maxwell edison . Updated 24 years, 7 months ago

Greetings All,

I have an oddball point that I want to get rid of. Does anybody want it? Actually, the way the point distribution system works, EVERYBODY who replies will GET one point even though I’m only GIVING one.

But since I’m posting a question anyway, maybe I’ll use it as an opportunity to voice a thought or two.

I find it extremely rude of people who ask questions and receive perfectly good answers, only to reject those well thought out and perfectly acceptable answers. I wonder if they laugh at the people they “sucker” into giving their time? I wonder if they realize they are adding to the notion of distrust among mankind (humankind for those politically correct folks)? And I wonder if they think they are really “gettingaway with something”, so to speak, or getting something for free?

Giving points to the thoughtful people who give a bit of their time and knowledge is no more or no less than a small (or large) thank you. The points, per se, are worthless. But a thank you is priceless.

(Who knows, if I get some dynamite replies, I may increase the point value of this question by one or two thousand before I close it out.)

Maxwell
