Would you elect a gay or lesbian president?

Would sexual preference make ANY difference to you with respect to your vote for president?

Just a passing thought without agenda.

Does religious faith (either yours or the candiate’s) or sexual preference actually have a bearing on who you’d vote for?

If your president was gay or lesbian, would that further the whole gay marriage agenda or would it be quickly dismissed as someone furthering his/her own best interests?

Would that also creat an opposition due to people feeling like the President was catering to his/her own needs to to get additional benefits?

What would happen? if Republicans had a straight candidate and Dems had a gay candidate?

What would happen or how would you decide if BOTH parties had a gay candidate?

Would it be a moral issue?
Would the focus be placed on policies and promises instead of left vs right?

Would this finally balance the parties?

I know when Sam Sullivan, Vancouver, supported gay marriage, I read all kinds of slams from Americans on TR. But what if it was the president? Would it really matter?

If so, how does this fit with your stand on gay marriage?
