Write protection error in floppy drive

when copy hard disk to fdd then message come to appear disk is writ protected. what is the actual
solution of this problem. When I copy data from floppy to hard disk it works properly but when i copy data from hard disk to floppy it gives write protection error. it is happening with all floppies.

On the back side of your floppy (if your are using a 3 1/2 inch floppy), in the bottom right corner there is a "slide" which determines the status of a floppy if it is write protected. Just slide that across to a new position and you will be able towrite to a floppy.

If you are using a 5 1/4 inch floppy remove the "Sticker" from the write protect tab.

In addition to the write protect tab on the floppy disk itself, some BIOS settings have a floppy write protect switch.

If this switch is set to write protect, the system stops you from writing to a floppy.

Additionally 1 in 1000 times the micro switch in the floppy may have gone bad and replacing the switch (if you know how) or the floppy drive is the only solution.
