WS3SVC Service stops unexpectedly

By nemo ·
World Wide Web Publishing Service is continually stopping, I am currently using a batch file scheduled to start it every 15 minutes but it is still stopping before that time is up. Server is running NT4 Server SP6a.

Are you sure you don't have a virus? One of the big ones in the past (NIMDA, I think) would cause this to happen. Check first for that - if you do have it you need to clean all traces off your server first before anything else. Hope this helps!

Thanks but already looked into that area. Problem has been resolved temporarily, seems to be actual ISDN adapter causing problem due to an unexplained hardware error. TA changed, problem cleared to a point.
