previously i made an in-place upgrade on my WSS2.0 to 3.0 end up it failed. then i found that my WSS2.0 configuration and content database was still inside the sharepoint folder. so i reinstall back everything including WSS2.0 then i try to set the configuration database server in sharepoint central administration to point back the old database file. but i failed to do so because i didn’t have the authority to access the old database file. i been tried whatever username and password that i can figure out with no luck.
now i am trying to intergrate the new install WSS2.0 to SQL server 2005 because i am able to attach the old database into SQL server install in another server. the concern i am getting now is how can i get authenticate for WSS2.0 to access the old database.
