Problem: User tried to update driver for CDROM, afterwards the CDROM stopped working, I tried searching for the original driver and was unsuccessful, I decided to just replace the CDROM. After doing so (new CDROM works perfectly) when I go to shutdown or restart the PC "wupdater.exe" hangs the shutdown/restart process. I close out the "wupdater.exe" process then restart the PC. The CDROM shows as working properly, but WINDOWS 2000 still looks to install a CDROM....?
Does the file/process "wupdater.exe" have something to do with updating WIN2K with changes made to the PC?
