X axis in Excel graph

by nhiep_nguyen . Updated 18 years, 8 months ago

Hello Everyone,

I have a problem with Excel graphics that I am not sure is solvable, so I submit it to the Techrepublic community hoping that someone would be able to help me.
To simplify the problem let’s say that in Excel spread sheet I have two columns, one (A) is in Date format, the other (B) is in currency format.
Values in the A column are entered not in a regular basis, with the corresponding values in the B column.
Now I would like to graph the evolution of the amounts in the B column versus Time, with A column as X values.
The problem is that the X axis is set so that the values are reported one after another regardless of the time that separates the consecutive values; so the curve does not reflect the real evolution of the money vs time.
How could I set the X axis so that the real length of time is reflected on the X axis?
Thank you for any input.
