How do I optimize my Xbox? I wasn’t sure if you could overclock an Xbox because whenever I try to do repairs or anything internal, I get the red screen of death.

“Upgrading” looks like other software or other hardware. “Overclocking” looks like a setting. That are different things. So I give 2 links.
Feel free to add a model number to the search terms, since the answers might be different for different models.

What repairs did you try to do and why?

Never forget that overclocking can damage or shorten the life of a computer or an Xbox (for example). You do so at your own risk and there is no manufacturer warranty by any company that guarantees any support to do so, or repairs if it damages the device. Just be aware.
