XP 64 won’t connect to the internet

I have an XP64 client that will not connect to the internet.

It connects to the LAN, can ping the public addresses of both our firewall and router, but cannot connect to the outside world

DNS is fine, and it has connected previously (during the Windows activation phase of its original build).

Can anyone offer suggestions?
