XP and Hotmail

We are using XP – and on the weekend, a kid was over and went on the pc, used a XP account, got into msn, and checked their hotmail. Now,
whenever we are on the very initial Windows XP screen (the one that lists each of our names Joe, Frank, etc.. )there is a message beside Frank’s account name, and it says that Frank has “10 new mail messages”. When we click on it – a box is displayed and says the name of the kid’s account. So – we are being notified about the kid’s email !
– I can’t seem to figure out how to get rid of the reference to the kid’s email on our initial Windows XP page. When I say initial windows page, I mean the page that you go to when you log off, and switch user accounts.
