XP Apps

By Todd123 ·
I recently installed XP and am only admin. I installed the game SIMS for my son to use and the only way that the game can be played is if I log in. How can he play the game as himself without making him an admin??

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try this and let me know how it worked out.

First uninstall the game.
Then log in as your son.
Now when you put in the cd and if it autoruns then just cancel the autorun.
Now open up my computer and browse the contents of the cd.
You should see a setup.exe file in the root directory of the cd.
Hold down the shift key and right click on the setup.exe file
You should see in the pop up menu an option to "run as"
Click that and then run as the administrator with your administrator password.
Now when that has completed try running the program
It should work for you, let me know how it turned out.

in addition to answer # 1, you could always make your sons account a power user account.
