ok, I tried doing a system restore and that worked for about a week….it started doing this log on log off loop after removing some very bad malware. Like I said, worked very well for awhile, now client has it doing it again. I tried going to safe mode and restoring but I can’t get past logging in, as soon as I do it logs off. I also tried copying the userinit.exe file, but it won’t work from the XP cd to the C: drive. It said it copied it from the C:drive to the C:drive. Help!!! I can’t think of what else to do except do a complete restore of the whole system. He never backed up his files of course!!!
I would love to be able to restore it without wiping the hard drive. but he did have 168 malware things in it when I started working on it. Thanks, he needs it for school….
