XP continuos reboot after msoft debugin

by dusterman . Updated 19 years, 5 months ago

I know that there has been a plethera of stuff posted about this but ……….
.
What … Sony laptop model PCG-7D2L – XP
.
Ran numerous virus scans …….. removed tons o’ shit !
.
Went to Ms to update …….. said we were still infected and so we installed the Ms tool …..
.
Ran 2 times in the quick scan and then ……..
yep ….. we decided since we still couldn’t get the customers unit to update , that we should do a DEEP scan ……….. well of course it found what it thought was a virus and so we removed it ………. duh !
.
Well it turns out that Sony says it’s Microsoft’s fault and Microsoft says that it’s not responsible [ the blue screen of death says – in short- that it is an un-mountable boot error ]
.
To the point Sony will sell us a reload XP disc as will Microsoft ……… the customer says that it came in running [ barely ] and does not expect to pay for a glitch in Microsoft’s or Sony’s problem …….. in the meantime we are caught in the middle ……….
.
Tried the Barts but it will not work as we do not have the original XP disk with the Sony “stuff” ……. ?
.
With that being said …………….. help .. 🙂
.
Thanks in advance ………..
.
Mike
