XP file permissions

Sorry if this is a nonsense, but this is my first attempt on XP.
Is there any way of setting file/folder security/ownership on XP NTFS ?
I just can’t find anywhere the usual file/property/security/permissions …. user .. privilege etc that I am using on NT and 2K since several years.
Note: this is a stand alone XP PRO, only network is internet and want to share folders (which I did with NET SHARE name=path and works), but can’t make it to apply different privileges to different users.
