This seems to be a common problem. Hangs at HP screen with F1=Setup and F10=Recovery options. Neither option will work…also tried F8 and Delete to no avail. I pulled the hard rive and took to local shop…it is good. I tried the CMOS jumper procedure as per HP / ASUS P4SD-LA ‘Stingray’ Mobo instrutions. No software/hardware changes were made prior to this lockup problem. I have pulled and reinstalled the RAM-no luck. Next action is to replace the battery…this machine is approaching 4 yrs old. Anybody got any suggestions while I’m out battery shopping??? Thanks!
