Hi,
I use Norton Ghost. I have heard there are better image apps available but, I do not have any issues with GHOST. The documentation will walk you through the process and it is fairly intuitive. GHOST will quit imaging if it comes across a bad sector on either drive. Other apps may be able to work around this but, I am not sure I would want them to. I see no reason to image corrupted data and it should stop the process.

I hope this helps you.

Use the Deploy.cab tools supplied on the XP CD which can be used to prepare XP images for deploying to different machines.
Sysprep is the main tool to use. Then use Ghost or DriveImage to create the image file.

OK.
USE NORTON GHOST VER. 5.1c
PREPARE ALL THE SOFTWARE FOR IMAGE CREATE.
CREATE THE IMAGE MAKE THE BOOT FROM MSDOS- DISKETE AND THEN USE GHOST IN INTERACTIVE MODE WITH THE INSTRUCCION:
ghost.exe -clone,mode=pdump,src=1:1,dst=D:\part1.gho

WHERE d IS THE DISK AND DIR WHERE STORE THE IMAGE.
AND PART1.GHO IS THE NAME FOR THE IMAGE.

NOTE THAT YOU MUST USE THE CONVENTION 8.3 DOS FORMAT FOR THE NAME.
IF YOU NEED MORE INFO CAN READ THE FILE HELP WITH THIS VERSION.
