I recently had a hdd crash, so I replaced the hard drive, formatted, and installed my copy of windows on the new drive. When asked to activate, it says it is invalid key. I know for a fact it is a valid key.
I try to activate thru internet, and it says it can’t at this time, to call the telephone number and activate.
I don’t have a home phone, or a cell phone, so that option is a wash.
Does anyone know any way around this?
I only have 7 more days to activate.
By the way it is XP Home with service pack 2.
