XP local Users

By sabatogz ·
I logged on to the new xp box as admin and installed the new applications. Copied the profile over to the new user. When the new user logs on, they have problems running some of the applications. If I change the user over, with local admin rightsthey have no problem. How can I provide the local users access to there applications with granting them admin rights?

Since I don't know the users passwords I cannot logon as them and install there apps with there users right.

Thx
Brian

Try making them members of the Power Users group. That should allow them to install applications.

Did you check the NTFS permissions / Share Permissions on the installed apps? You did say that you installed the apps when you were logged on as Admmin...

Yes, I installed the programs while logged in as admin. But now I would need to give the users permission to the directory where there installed and many dir's in windows directory where system files where installed.

Try giving rights to the built in user "Interactive" This will give access to users that log in from the terminal.
