XP Login problem

By Novce4Life ·
We have a Library with XP on the PCs and a Lab with Media Edition.

My situation is that users are able logon to the network in the Labs but cannot logon in the Library. On one occassion a user was able to log on in the Lab but couldn't logon in the Library.

Login prompted "Cannot login because the user profile cannot be found," then goes at the bottem of that message " low disk space ..." etc

Any clues coz YES we run on a Win 2003 server and the Symbolic's path destination drive on our server only has 619 mb free space could this be the factor?
Any ideas anyone please?

Try to reconfigure the Alias

by parthiv_13 In reply to XP Login problem

There is no issue with the Low disk space as per me though try to get more space around 1 GB. Sometime it happens due to low disk space system gose very slow. So your Dive alias may have problem to "initiate" it for login.

More on try to reconfigure or reMap your aliases and check with the User profile policies.... aren't they modified by someone else ?

Just check it.... Nothing more as I have in my view right now....

Login Trouble shoot Answering

As per your problem is concened, there is nothing wrong with your disk space.all you have to do is just,to see whether, the user you are trying to log on has sufficient rights fo logging in or you have to check whether that user exist or not .you can simply check this by going to start programs then administrative tools then active directory users & computers, here you have to check whether the user exists here or not,if he exixts then you have to see whether he have the proper rights for logging in the library or for the particular computers which are in your library.i think this will solve your problem
