I just turn my computer on and its unable to bootinto desktop. the systen restarts when the boot screen appears.
i tried to use safe mode but it stops at AVGRx86.sys. i tried to rename the file in the recovery console but i am unable to. i am also unable to list any directories in the recovery console.
when i go to the screen to repair the current installation of windows i notced that my C: is totally clean. It appears as if the hard drive has been totally erased. how can that be when i turn off the system good and it wasnt shwing any signs of errors or problems.
CAN ANYONE tell me how i can get this desktop running again with installing windows, i really need the files on the hard disk…
