I’m dealing with trying to install printers (in a classroom environment) in Windows XP Pro so
that any user of the PC will be able to use the printers. I’ve checked two books, a couple newsgroups, poked around in the registry, and fiddled with the security settings on the printer to no avail. The users log on to the domain (not the PC), and the printers are networked.
I’ve done most of the rest of the customization I need by setting up things the way I like and then copying that profile to the default user profile, but the printers (or the desktop, for that matter) don’t seem to be included. Because this is a boarding school and students may use lab machines as well as their own PCs, roaming profiles aren’t the answer. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance…
