Machine: P4, 1.5 gig hrz, 512 RD ram, 60 gig HD, running XP Home upgrade over prior ME OS, and newest version of Internet explorer (so we cant reload MIE off install disk..
My son added and deleted some stuff and now the Internet Explorer won’t click of with the red X (upper right) or even with using file menu. To shut down Internet Explorer we have to use ALT/CRTL/DEL. We tried the restore points and they would not load.
In investigating the problem I found 3 files in my sons documents that did not belong there.
They were: iexplorr22.dll 1.0.0.0
iexplorr11.dll 3.0.0.0
regsvr32
I’m suspecting that if I can put them where they belong the problem might clear up. However, I don’t want to make the problem worse by putting them in the wrong windows folders. Any help greatly appreciated.
