XP Networking Problem

Over the years, I’ve confidently networked Win 3.1, Win’95, Win’98, WinNT, W2K etc. I’m not an IT guy, but I’ve been more comfortable than most around computers and networking for a long time.

It seems that now, with XP, I have no problem getting internet connected, but when I try to see this PC (or others on our small home network) in My Network Places, I see the workgroup, but I cannot access it. Nothing I try seems to work. I have admin status.

I’ve tried changing the workgroup name. I’ve been through the Network setup wizard countles times (with just as many reboots). Nothing’s working.

It also makes no difference whether I’m using the wireless LAN card or an Ethernet card (or both).

Any ideas anyone??
