i have a windows XP PC working on a wireless home network which occasionally doesnt seem to be able to connect to any websites. i have tried using IE7, Firefox and Opera and the problem occurs on all browsers.
also when i try to ping a website it comes up host not found, but i am able to ping the IP address successfully and if i put the address into a browser i am able to access the website ok, so it would seem that the problem is that the pc is unable to resolve the domain name to an IP address. the problem is that i am unsure how to solve this problem. i have tried restarting the DNS and DHCP services but this hasnt resolved the issue, so any pointers would be much appreciated.
