xp pro 2002 sp2 with AMD 64 support VPN?

Just bought a new desktop from HP for home use.

xp pro (version 2002 SP2) on amd athlon 64 dual core 5200 support VPN? because I have old xp home/intel notebook works.

But same VPN setting not work for my desktop.

I use XP pro VPN setup. not install any other VPN client.

always 800 error

This is because AMD 64 hardware problem?

Because the other settings are almost the same
need install some specifc driver etc?

Hope some experts here can give some solution

Have you gone to the Control Panel

Then Add Remove Programs and checked the Installed Windows Components on the Left Hand Side of that Add Remove Program Window?

I would bet that you are lacking some Windows Components and this is causing your problem. You'll need to install any missing Windows Components and you'll need the HP CD available to install these from.

You could also check the installed Networking Protocols and add any that are not installed on the older machine.
