A friend purchased a new custom build PC with XP Pro installed about 5 weeks ago. He hadn’t done the activation thing & landed himself in the hospital 4 days after getting the PC, he’s coming home saturday & the 30 days is up & wants me to make sureit’s ok as a result of not activating within the time period. He’s off work for the next six months & not going to be to mobile & plans on spending all his time on the PC…….wish I could do that, oh well.
Anyway I’ve never come across this before, what’s going to happen when I start this PC aside from the desktop not working & XP giving me some kind of crap about activating.
Will I need to reformat or will XP present some straight forward dialogues to get it running, Internet was neversetup, he’ll being using dialup but I’m sure I’ll be over within a week or two to install a nic card.
