I have a W2k Server with 25 Xp Pro, 5 Win 98 computers attached to the DNS server, they all logon quickly. However the XP computers will not run a script that maps drives for the user , the Win 98 no problem. I edited the gpedit to wait for the network connection, no luck. I would like the Xp computers to logon to the Domain and map user drives. Thanks

as the first suggestion asks, is the script in the computer or user log on GPO? If it's computer log on script might want to move the script over to the user log on and have the script wait until all other GPOs are processed when the user logs on.
You may have done this but I have to ask. You do have login bat for each OU or company division. Like Bob in HR gets HR.bat that only lets HR get the drives that HR needs, You can have many bat files for each login. Each one can load drives, gpo's ect.
If it's one drive per user you need, perhaps you could use Active Directory Users and Computers on the server computer. Right click the user name and select properties, then in the profile tab map the home folder to whatever drive letter and path you wish
