XP Pro Home Network Problem

By Wallee ·
Am having difficulty home networking computer with XP Pro. A couple of years ago, I had successfully networked the same computer but with much difficulty. After several days of research and trying this and that, I finally came across a reference to an article written by a M'soft tech. This article was written asa a possible fix for someone who was experiencing the same problems as my self.

Article instructed a change somewhere in the registry. I remember it was a node change and think the value was changed from 0 to 2. This fix brought my home networking problem to a close. Does anyone remember this fix or know where I can get the article?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the Heads up on where to look. Found it and it worked.

Change the value of the EnableProxy value in the preceding registry key to 0 or 1, quit Registry Editor, and then restart your computer.

Changed from 2 to 0.

Thanks Again
