I have a XP Pro machine that connects to a NT domain network. Seems to login properly and I can access the network and/or share resources with others. I have my full name showing on top of the Start menu as it normally does.
Then at no certain time or event I lose connection to the domain, but I can still get out on the internet through the gateway. At this point my name at the top of the Start menu changes to my login name to the domain. I can no longer browse the network and/or share resources unless I logoff and then back on.
I have tried numerous solutions – reinstall, network cards, new hub, not run virus protection, rejoin to network domain, etc. Nothing seems to work or help.
Any help in understand or fixing the problem would be greatly appreciated.
