I will be very grateful to get your advice on the following :
I have a Laptop running XP Pro sp2 with my software installed on it with all sorts of updates and patches. I would like to image that machine to a Virtual environment that I can take with me on a USB drive when I travel instead of my laptop which I cannot afford to damage or loose.
Which is the best way to go about this whithout having to re-install all my applications on the VPC and take forever to get to the current state.
I have tried a full XP backup from the laptop, including the “System State”. I then tried to restore on a VPC where XP pro had been installed and working. After the restore, it will not bootup. Something I am not doing correctly ?…
