XP Pro upgrade onto fresh disk

Hope this is an easy one – I want to install the Pro Upgrade i own onto a new system/disk without having to go through installing XP home, then upgrading, etc. Will the Upgrade merely need to see the Home CD to install files on hard drive, or do I have to do it the hard way and install Home XP first?

All you need is a valid CD of a full version qualifying version of Windows to install Windows XP Upgrade onto a new system.

After booting off the XP Upgrade CD and running the installation process, the installer will ask you to insert your CD from your older version of Windows that qualifies you for the upgrade.

This feature has been part of all Windows Upgrade versions since Windows 98.
