Xp Product key missing

XpPro.Product key stickey has been misplaced or if its the one on the side of my old computer (only 6Gb H/disk) is unreadable.Is this product key inside the computer, inside a file so i can reinstall my retail version of xp pro into another new cpu with a much larger hard disk?
